Holy Fire School’s Faith Statement

We believe the Bible (both Old & New Testaments) to be the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21).

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19, Mark 12:29).

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus (John 20:28), in His virgin birth (Luke 1:27), in His sinless life (Heb. 4:15), in His miracles (John 20:30-31), in His vicarious and atoning death (Col.2: 13-14), in His bodily resurrection (Acts 1:3), in His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Acts 1:9), and His personal return to this earth in power and glory (Acts 1:11, 1 Thes. 1:10, 4:13-18).

We believe that man is saved by the grace of God and not by works or human effort. This grace is received through repentance and faith in God and His Son Jesus (Eph. 2:8-9; Acts 20:21; Rom. 5:9)

We believe that the infilling of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it (Luke 3:16; Luke 11:13; Acts 1:5-8; Acts 10:44-48).

We believe that there is healing for the spirit, soul and body in the atonement of Jesus (Isa. 52:13-53:12; Matt. 8:16-17; 1 Peter 2:24).

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life (1 Cor. 1:2; 2 Cor. 5:17; 2 Thes. 2:13).

We believe in the return of Jesus, our blessed hope, to consummate his kingdom in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, one to a resurrection of life and the other to eternal punishment (Acts 24:15; John 5:28-29; Matt. 25:46).

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (John 17:11, 21-23; Romans 12:4-5; Ephesians 4:11-16).
