Seek God & Study His Word

Seek God in the heart of Brisbane City. We put knowing God first. Your heart ignited through intimacy with Jesus is the best way to study God's Word.

Holy Fire Ministry Training School is an evening Bible School designed for working and busy people who want to grow in knowing God and His Word. The Father called us to begin in 2003 with the conviction that his Word and Spirit work together to authentically equip us for ministry. Since our inception, Jesus has led us on an amazing journey through the Bible and his living presence has been changing our lives. Our students are now leaders and pastors throughout Brisbane and beyond. And God's work continues to grow and increase.  This is no ordinary Bible School. We don't just study Scripture, but experience and live it out.

The TORAH

Discovering God's Ways

Who is God and what are his ways? These are the two main questions we will ask as we explore the first five books of the Bible, the Torah. The Torah is the foundation for the whole Bible, and when you understand the Torah, all of God's Word comes alive. Our special focus will be on Genesis and creation. As you encounter the origin of all things, you will see that God's initial patterns reverberate throughout Scripture. This subject will give you a solid foundation in knowing God's Word, as well as help you develop strong roots for your life. During this course, God's light will shine in your darkness and create you anew. The God who said in Genesis 1:3, "Let there be light," is the same God today. And he wants to do today, what he did back then.

The Tabernacle:

The Mystery of God's House

What is the tabernacle and how does it relate to you today? In Exodus, we read that the Lord spoke to Moses to make a tabernacle. It had to be made exactly as God instructed. This tabernacle was so important that it was at the centre of Israel's life as they journeyed through the wilderness. What secrets does God's tabernacle hold? How can you become a dwelling place that God delights in? These questions and more will be answered as we explore the tabernacle, as well as experience God's manifest presence in the process. The Lord said to Moses, "Let them construct a sanctuary for me, that I may dwell among them" (Exodus 25:8). Our goal: to know God's ways so that he may dwell among us in the here and now.

The Journey

Walking God's Way

In Pilgrim's Progress, Christian goes on a journey from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City. On his journey he encounters many different obstacles that he must overcome. Your life as a Christian is also a journey. The only way to make it is to walk God's way. In this subject, we will learn from Israel's journey from Egypt through the wilderness to the Promised Land. We will also be inspired by John Bunyan's classic, the Pilgrim's progress. You will grow strong roots in Christ so that you are not tossed back and forth by the winds of the world. Don't be a tumbleweed driven by the latest trends. Instead, know where you are going and how to get there. Paul writes, "Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in him and established in your faith..." (Colossians 2:6-7a).
